- Lauren Quinn
Lauren first started taking yoga classes in 1997, but it wasn't until she took her first ashtanga yoga class in 2001 that she truly started to practice. It was through the daily practice of ashtanga yoga and with the help of a strong and supportive community of yogis that she began to feel a beautiful transformation taking place. With the hope of strengthening her own practice and helping others to discover the benefits of yoga, she began a year-long teacher training program (with Scott Miller of Inland Yoga in Riverside, CA). Lauren received her certification in Hatha Yoga, and taught her first class at the end of 2003. Since then, she has taught led ashtanga, yin yoga, general hatha, and facilitated Mysore ashtanga practice. She has participated in workshops/trainings given by acclaimed ashtangis including Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (founder of ashtanga yoga), Richard Freeman, Lino Miele, and Kino MacGregor, as well as numerous classes from well respected teachers across the country and the world. Lauren’s classes tend to emphasize breath and energy over perfection of form, as these aspects of yoga practice are beneficial and accessible to everyone.
