I decided to try Zumba about a year ago after my second child was born. I played many sports through my life and done weight training, but nothing quite like Zumba. It sounded fun-like a party, and a lot of other fitness activities hurt my knees, back, etc after having a very sport intensive youth! I fell in love right away and enjoyed the results. I decided to get certified to teach this exciting new craze, so other people could see what it was about too. I set up classes in 3 different towns going through the local Recreation departments or fitness centers. I've been having a ton of fun, have some die hard ladies, and am looking for other ways for Zumba to change my life and others. I think it's important for my kids and family to see how exercise can add so much to your life and health. I've been focused on Aqua Zumba for the summer, trying to change it up for people in the communities I'm going to, and get more people involved who have trouble with high impact activites. I will be starting up more basic classes next month, but wanted to make the most of our hot summer weather!
