I came into the fitness industry about 3.5 years ago. After completing a Master's degree in Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Madison I needed a way to transform this education into a meaningful career. I saw a disconnect between many people in helping professions and their personal self-care habits. As I dealt with the stresses of life I learned that there is a strong connection between the mind and the body. Fitness having always been an important aspect of my life I chose to dedicate myself to bridging the gap between counseling and fitness. This has translated to a strong focus on healthy living and fitness methods that reinforce the connection between the mind and the body. By primarily using kettlebells and yoga-inspired bodyweight training I help my clients achieve, not only their aesthetic goals but learn something new about themselves in the process. Recently I have incorporated another passion, food. While we truly "are what we eat" I offer nutritional classes and coaching to help clients, novice to elite, eat in a way that promotes optimal health and fitness while fitting into their hectic schedules.
