James Flanagan

James Flanagan is a cyclist, volunteer and animal lover. He is an avid mountain and road-biker and a proud member of local cycling advocacy groups. James also rides with TEAM CF. The mission of the Team is to use cycling as a platform to increase awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, raise money for CF research and promote fitness for those with CF.

 James is a professionally licensed USA Cycling Coach and Certified Indoor Cycling Instructor. He has developed and offered numerous novice, intermediate and advance level cycling courses, covering several different cycling disciplines for a wide demographic of students.

In addition to his passion for cycling James is also passionate about animal rights and welfare, which motivated him to become the President of Friends of Retired Greyhounds in November of 2009, after adopting his Greyhound, Kitty. His goal is to bring awareness to greyhound rescue and the adoption of greyhounds as life long companions. Additionally, James is a member of Exempla Lutheran Medical Center’s pet therapy program, which helps patients on their road to healthy recoveries. James attended The Art Institute of Colorado and puts his degree in Interactive Media Design and Communications to use for both the State of Colorado and Friends of Retired Greyhounds.
