Gloria Owens is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor, Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Mindful Movement fascilitator who has been leading transformational classes & workshops yoga since 1994. She is the former co-owner and spiritual director of YogaSpace, a studio that continues to thrive in Bethel, CT.

Gloria’s popular yoga classes offer an eclectic mix of styles in a fun and non-judgmental atmosphere; appropriate for beginners and intermediate students alike. She weaves together traditional yoga poses, breathing techniques, expressive movement, conscious self-reflection and guided relaxation. Her compassionate and intuitive teaching style makes each class a unique experience. Music and breath are an integral part of a yoga experience with Gloria – creating rich and varied yogic experience – and awakening the body's innate inner wisdom. Students often find their stress and anxiety reduced, their physical bodies opened, their minds quieter and their spirits enlivened after classes with Gloria.

Gloria is also a certified Stand-Up Paddle Board Yoga instructor and certified in the AromaTouch Technique (therapeutic hand-on healing with essential oils), as well as the creator of Essential Yoga workshops, combining yoga and essential oils for optimal results.

In addition to a lifelong exploration of yoga, meditation and wellness practices, Gloria has enjoyed a parallel career as a talented art director, graphic designer, photographer and visionary artist. She has spent decades exploring the realms of creativity, beauty, spirituality and practical approaches to health & wellness. She brings her playful, creative and curious spirit to each class, and invites students to do the same.

As a seasoned instructor with decades of experience, Gloria is now looking to expand her horizons and take her yoga to exotic locations where she hopes to share her passion & knowledge and enhance the vacation experience for other travelers.
