I started playing sports when I was 5 years old, and fitness has been a huge part of my life ever since.  I competed in many varsity team sports throughout high school and was the captain of my swim team for two years.  During high school I worked at Curves and learned a lot about the importance of strength training, motivation and reachable goals.  During college, I began taking group fitness and cycling classes, and I loved it! I loved taking classes so much that I began to wonder if I could start teaching them.  In February of 2011 I completed a group fitness training academy through LA Fitness. Within 1 month of completing that class, I was hired by LA Fitness to teach cycling.  I am certified to teach other group fitness formats, but there were no openings for those formats at the time of my hire. However, I continue to practice step, low impact, sculpting and abs so that I can substitute in these class formats when necessary. In May of 2011 I completed my Keiser Cycling certification.

I absolutely love fitness and group exercise! I know how important motivation is in completing a great work out.  I take my role of instructor seriously and constantly seek ways to best communicate with my class, to make sure everyone is using the equipment safely and ultimately, that everyone is having a great time and getting a great work out!

I graduated from The Master's College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and work full-time as an administrative assistant.
