I came to Seattle by way of Boulder in my native Colorado. In
college, I studied human health and rehabilitation and have maintained a
lifelong interest in human performance and exercise physiology. After
relocating to Seattle in 2003, I worked as a personal trainer,
certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I was intrigued
by yoga, but it never resonated with me until I stepped into
Mountain Flow Yoga in 2008. The power, athleticism, fluidity and heat
that are the foundation of Power Vinyasa, are a perfect fit for me.
This amazing practice was a logical next step for me because it is
both innately rewarding and challenging. I haven't stepped foot in a
gym since. I have been pleasantly surprised at how yoga has
become a metaphor for my life "off of my mat." The benefits I have
gained from my practice are innumerable. I have my 200-hour RYT certification in Power Vinyasa through Be Luminous Yoga
along with a five month practicum with Mountain Flow Yoga. My enthusiasm for yoga is only exceeded by my desire to share my passion
with others. I strive to bring joy, balance and power to my
classes. When I am not practicing or teaching yoga, I am a
stay-at-home Mom to two vibrant little girls.
