When I was 18, I weighed 50 more pounds than I do today.  As an overweight teenager, I thought I was destined to a life of being heavy and never imaged myself as an athlete in any sense of the word.  Fitness has changed my life, 20 years later I run half marathons, organize bootcamps, teach group ex fitness classes at the YMCA, all while working full time as faculty at a local college and being a mother of three children.  I couldn't manage this full plate without having a high energy level and my mission is to inspire others to embrace the same lifestyle of being fit and healthy.   My goal is to work hard to model the kind of active lifestlye which will lead others into a lifetime of being their personal best.
