Joe Ahmadian

I have been teaching tennis since I was 15 at the local public courts in my hometown of Dallas. In 2003 I earned a scholarship to Baker University where I had a successful career. While there, I received the national "player to watch" award, achieved a top 10 doubles ranking, and was named the Baker University "Athlete of the Year."

After graduating, I decided to follow my love for tennis and learn how to better teach. I worked at Midtown Tennis Club in metropolitan Kansas City where I was taught the ins and outs of teaching tennis. A year later I moved to Jayhawk Tennis Center to be much closer to home and to get a raise.

About a year after I moved clubs I was offered the head coaching position at my alma matre, Baker University. There was no question I would take the job because I always wanted to coach in college and I could still teach at the club part-time. Along with the coaching job I was able to start graduate school to get my Master's in Liberal Arts which I am currently working on.

This Summer, I came up to New Jersey to teach at a club in Summit. My boss, Darlene Finnegan, told me about this opportunity to travel to an exotic place for a discounted rate. Since I just got engaged, I thought this might be a good way to save money on our honeymoon.
