I am 19 years old sophmore honors student at Montana State University studying Exercise Science to become a Physical Therapist. I have recently been certified as a spinning instructor and have also worked as a life guard. I volunteer with Eagle Mount and am the coach for the special olympic ski team at Bridger Mt. in Bozeman, MT during the winter. Also, I went to Thailand this past summer to study health care in Thailand for two weeks and Music Therpy for five weeks. I also completed a research project there reguarding a cross-cultural comparison of the standards of care for treating a patient with an ACL injury.
My interest in all of this has lead from my three ACL tears and four surgeries later, all from downhill skiing accadents. Even though I was undergoing surgery yearly for four years, I never gave up, and I was dedicated every day. That is why spinning was such a great exercise for me during those times. The injuries have led me on the right path: to first become a spinning instructor, and ultimately become a Physical Therapist.
