I am a 53 year old female from Lufkin, Texas. I have been married for 35 years and have 3 beautiful girls ages 28, 24, and 19 years old. I am a muscular build, 5'5', usually weighing 140lbs, tan, curly headed, energetic, and creative group exercise instructor. I have experience in many areas as listed above. I have been certified with AFAA since 1992 and have been teaching for 31 years. Safety, seeing results, creativity, and fun are at the top of my priority list. Sharing this with others is my passion. I had the privilege of doing this at the Junior college in my town for 16 years, helping students during ""lecture"" classes obtain a better understanding of their bodies, how to feel better on the inside and out, teach them safer more effective ways of exercising, and help them to feel comfortable ""moving"" aerobically. I have also had this same privilege for 6 years as the Group Fitness Coordinator in the local fitness center where I am employees, as I have been training others to become group exercise instructors. I have had the opportunity to re-construct an entire aerobics program and get it back on it's feet to a higher level of excellence and fun!! Teaching new members of our club how to start a fitness program that best suits them is also a rewarding experience! Personal training, being able to help individuals one on one is most rewarding and the Fitness Boot Camps I instruct are so inspiring as I see clients improve weekly! Teaching Zumba for the last 12 years has been my new adventure in the fitness arena.
