Teaching group fitness has become my passion since my first classes in late 2007.  I love to see the participants get the most out of their workouts for their fitness levels.  I enjoy the plyometrics of BODYATTACK, similar to hi/lo and Sports Conditioning types of classes.  Plyometrics spikes the heart rate, therefore increasing metabolism.  BODYPUMP, the original barbell workout, is fantastic for building strong lean muscles.  I also teach a class called Barbell, which is very similar to BODYPUMP.  ZUMBA!!  will make the hour fly by with the Latin/International mix of music.  I also like to include current hits so that people can sing to some of the songs as well as dance to them.  Finally, CX30/CXWORX is a 30 minute concise core workout that leaves you sweating and breathless.  It's only 30 minutes but you would not want any more.

Overall, I enjoy teaching and taking all kinds of group fitness.  Yoga and Pilates are so wonderful to elongate your spine and keeps you better balanced.  Of course there are the very popular bike classes too.  These are wonderful to burn tons of calories and not have to think too much about what move is coming up next.

I also enjoy running and day hikes.  Most recently, I ran the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Miler in Washington D.C.  I was finish it in 1:26:39, average pace 8:35 :-)  That was an improvement over my first time in 2010 results (1:28:42 net tIme, 8:53 pace).  Needless to say, I was very happy with my 2011 results.  The change from one year to another took training of the body and mind.

I aspire to make changes, one class at a time, every time.  My goal is to bring you closer to your fitness goals by movtivating and inspiring you.
