Vera Needham

I started taking fitness classes over 20 years ago in an attempt to lose weight. After losing 50 pounds I became a Toronto Sunshine girl and did a national commercial for Slim Fast. I attained my first certification in 1990 but never started teaching immediately because I found out my dad had cancer. I quit fitness for five years to care for my dad. In 1995 I started teaching. I own and operate a mobile dog grooming parlour named Happy Tails and have done so since 1984. It is a great job and I love it. I have been with my husband since 1984 and we have two children. Our son is twelve and our daughter is seven weeks. My goal is to help other people through fitness.
