Melissa
is certified in Hatha yoga from Prana
Yoga Teacher College & trained in Yin yoga with Bernie Clark
& Prenatal yoga with Janice
Clarfield. Her classes incorporate breath and movement to encourage
and integrate mind and body awareness. Melissa encourages a restorative
aspect to the end of her classes to fully calm and renew your whole
being.
A professional ballet dancer for 15 years and practicing yoga since 1997; Melissa has danced with the National Ballet of Canada, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Ballet BC, as well as many companies in New York. She discovered her regular yoga practice helped strengthen both her body & mind for a career as a ballet dancer.
