Phyllis Richard

I have been a personal trainer for 9 yrs. The reason I went into personal training I was overweight about 10 yrs ago, and decideed to join a gym (Orchard Hills) I went  for about a yr. and did not see any results. I decided to hire a trainer. Trainer taught me how to do the weights corrrectly and talk about my nutrition, which was not balance at all. I was eating to many calories for what I was burning on the cardio. This is what brought me to get certified. I wanted anybody that was overweight , that I could help get to their goals. I have been a trainer and worked inside a few gyms. I have trained clients for runnning a marathon, I have helped some seniors to just get healthy. I have help clients get educated on nutrition. I have a certificate with Lifestyle Management Associates ,Incorporating Nutrition.  My speciality is training mostly seniors because of my age and my patience and how knowledgeable about the body and how it functions as you age. I train mostly clients at there home or on the field and have taught a boot camp for about 8 weeks in the summer a few years ago. My love for fitness is just trying to educate and keep people moving in this day and educating them on how to stay healthy evewn if they do not like going into a gym. I can give them a program in which they can do at home. I make myself available to them, in case of questions they may have , on nutrition and on fitness. One question answered may mean a great deal to an individual and it will keep them motivated. I can give them suggestions at any time, on line or on the phone.  I have kept my weight off that I had lost years ago and helping other people keeps me motivated as well.
