Fitness, health, wellness and body awareness have always been a part of my life.  I began doing aerobics in the 80s, as a teenager, and became an aerobics instructor in college.  In college, I began dance training and in my mid-20s, I danced in professional musical theater for 2 years.  While training and auditioning for shows as a dancer, I continued to teach aerobics on the side as a means to earn income.

In my late 20s, I went to law school and practiced law for 5 years.  I taught an aerobics class to faculty and staff during my first year of law school.  While in law school and while practicing law, I continued dancing on the side, taking classes, performing and choreographing for community theaters and with local dance companies in the Washington, DC area.

I began studying yoga in my early 30s and slowly I transitioned to taking more and more yoga classes and fewer dance classes. I discovered Anusara Yoga and it truly transformed my life in all regards - physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Eventually, in 2005, I decided to do an Anusara Yoga Teacher Training.  I did not expect to make a living at teaching yoga, but there were so few Anusara Yoga teachers Boston area that I found many opportunities to teach.  Within a short time, I found I could make a living teaching yoga and now, almost 6 years later, I am still teaching yoga full time.

I am also very community oriente
d and have been an organizer for the Anusara Yoga community in the Greater Boston Area, creating practice groups, mailing lists for teachers as well as students, a web page, and helping advertise and organize events.

My experience as a lawyer also means I am intelligent, reliable, articulate, professional and will be an excellent representative of Fitness Pro Travel wherever I may get placed to teach.

One final note, Club Med was my family's annual family vacation for about 8 years (my teens and early 20s) and I have been to Clubs one or two more times since.  It was through my friend and colleague, Virginia Miller, that I learned about Bella Luna Yoga and Fitness Pro Travel, specifically, that one could be placed at a Club Med as an instructor for a week.  I am very familiar with the workings of Club Med having been there many times (even danced in one of their GM shows!) and having befriended (and even once dated!) G.Os over the years.  Truly, I would be happy to be placed at any resort, but it was the Club Med opportunity that inspired me to apply to join your team.
