Anita Beaudoin

I currently work part-time at the Valparaiso, Indiana YMCA as a Fitness Instructor.  I teach 2 adult yoga classes and 3 Zumba Gold classes each week with active older adults.  In addition, I am a certified Silver Sneakers Instructor and currently teach 1 class a week in Muscular Strength and Range of Movement and a Silver Splash class as well.  I also am one of the Wellness Professionals at the YMCA orienting new members to the programs and services offered at the YMCA.  Recently, I became certified as a Lifestrong Instructor working with cancer survivors.

In addition, I currently volunteer with "Zeus" a white German shepherd.  "Zeus" and I are certified as a Delta Pet Partner Team.  We visit patients at a local hospital and also at an assisted living facility. 

I have over 20 years experience working in health care primarily in volunteer management, patient services and wellness.  I have a Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Roosevelt University in Chicago and Master of Science Degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University in Chicago.
