I began my career in Group Fitness in 1995. After performing as a cheerleader for my university and competing nationally in dance, I decided to use my skills after graduation to start teaching Cardio Funk at night. This was secondary to my full time position as a system consultant for ADP. That developed into expanding my fitness career as a step and strength GF instructor. I wanted a challenge beyond what other women were teaching so I began my training as a impact boxing instructor. I have trained with pro-am boxers and eventually positioned myself to create the Ultimate Boxing format that utilized the techniques of boxing within a bpm or tempo format. After having my two children, my fitness career began once again as a full time mom and a part time GF instructor. I have expanded my certifications and trainings to keep up with the ever changing times of GF. My most successful classes are those that fit the needs of all levels of participants. I started researching a combination of dance, Tracy Anderson method, and bar method techniques and fused them together called Power Sculpt. I only use up to 3 pound weights and combine a series of the above to lengthen the muscles while creating a energized atmosphere to keep the participants engaged. This among my other formats are those that are most recognized in my community of the north shore of Chicago.
