Leah Hegstrom is a yoga instructor, certified under the Devalila
Yoga Teacher Training, a 200-hour training registered with the National Yoga
Alliance. Leah currently teaches a
weekly hatha yoga class close to home in Lebanon, New Jersey. In addition, she received a Master of Arts
in Teaching from The College of New Jersey in 2008, with a dual-certification
in both Special Education and Elementary Education and for three years has been teaching
children with autism in Branchburg, New Jersey. Leah
enjoys implementing yoga and relaxation
strategies into her classroom on a daily basis. Additionally, she
recently collaborated with two other teachers to develop a workshop for
parents and educators titled “Restorative Practices for
Children with Special Needs." In the past year, Leah has also become an entrepreneur,
launching “My Best Fest” (www.mybestfest.com),
an online music festival guide, with a focus on building a community bound together
by love and music.
