Steven Olivas

Steve Olivas, USPTA Pro 1, is the Head Professional at Coronado Tennis and Team Sports in El Paso, Texas. Steve has been with CTS for nearly 3 years. While at Coronado Tennis and Team Sports, Steve attended Pat Etcheberry's strength and conditioning certification program and has become a certified strength and conditioning coach. Prior to teaching at Coronado Tennis and Team Sports, Steve taught at El Paso Country Club and Dallas Athletic Club. Steve was also full time tennis instructor/camp counselor at Camp Takajo in Naples, Maine. In addition to being a professional at the national level, Steve is a certified special education teacher who has been teaching special education for the past 7 years. Steve received his Bachelors Degree in Health Science with a Minor in Management from the University of Texas El Paso in 2003. While attending UTEP, Steve had the honor of performing with the 14 time World Champion Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps from Concord, California. Steve is not the only USPTA professional in his household. Steve is married to Samantha Isaac who is currently the head tennis coach at Franklin High School in El Paso, Texas. Steve and Samantha have been married for four years and have one beautiful daughter (Kendall Christine), and two very energetic Labs (Jazzie and Brownie).
