Chris Staefe

Currently living in Las Vegas, Chris Staefe has transformed his love for physical conditioning into an inspirational force for others to follow. As a outdoor enthusiast, trail running, rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking gave Chris a solid athletic foundation. As his desire to learn more about the capabilities of his own body, acrobatics emerged as the next logical step. Living in Vegas and being surrounded by the best circus artists in the world, there no was lack of inspiration to pursue this. Working with former Cirque du Soleil artist Alvin Tam, Chris developed a skill for hand balancing and became a certified Acrofit instructor, later becoming the first Acrofit Trainer. What drew Chris to Acrofit was the combination of yoga, martial arts, core strengthening, and acrobats to create a fun workout experience. As this was his first experience with acrobatics, he pursued it on his own and through private lessons in Vegas for about 7 months until a training accident forced a stop to all activity. During his recovery he began learning Pilates with two time Ms Fitness USA Champion and former Cirque du Soleil artist Sarah Harding. Ms Harding crafted the Pilates experience to rehabilitate and strengthen the Chris' injured areas and customized the workouts to train him control and hand balancing. After a year of working with her, Chris decided to become certified in Pilates and to begin performing in Vegas full time. Chris' Pilates training was under the very keen eye of Gracie Martinez who is part of the Passing the Torch Program under Rael Isacowitz. His familiarity and experience with being a professional performer has given Chris a unique perspective and demonstrative abilities as an instructor. Chris is currently teaching in multiple studios and out of his own home for Pilates, core conditioning, Acro-Pilates, and Fire Dancing.
