Renee Lindquist

Renee Lindquist began her involvement with healthcare in 1983 and has had a passion for personal well being ever since. In her early professional years, she was educated in nursing and practiced at hospitals and healthcare facilities. In 2003, Renee attended her first Yoga class. During that class she discovered Yoga to be her life’s passion.

Since that time, Renee has been certified in several levels of Yoga instruction and has her  RYT 200 . Renee has studied under Darren Main, Rodney Yee, Doug Swenson and many local Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Iyengar teachers.

Renee teaches the individual student within the classroom, resulting in personal attention and hands-on instruction. She begins with the breath, grace for self and others, and guides students in building their Yoga Practice.

Renee has taught students ranging in age from 4 to 83.

What Students Say

“Give yourself grace” is easier said than done, but worth working on every time I practice.”

Sharon - Vinyasa Flow

Yoga has made me stronger in so many ways.  It has made me physically stronger and more flexible .It is a comforting environment, where I can be focused on only the poses and not the chatter in my mind. It has given me a huge sense of accomplishment as I've seen myself progress, and there is always a sense of fellowship and fun among the students. Yoga will always be a part of my life and is one of the many  things I am grateful for.”

“I never anticipated loving yoga this much. At the urging of my best friend I tagged along to a class one night - he knew I would experience what he did if I just got to a class. Yoga does what no other exercise or hobby does for me - it allows me the permission to truly forget and block out all the noise that surrounds us 24/7. I leave class relaxed, refreshed, rejuvenated and motivated to keep all that "noise" in proper perspective and priority.”

Deb-Vinyasa Flow

“For me, yoga class with Renee is a time to challenge myself physically and mentally. I love the time to come together with great people to see what we are made of! Anyone can do yoga and work at their own pace. I look forward to each class!”

Amy-Vinyasa Flow

"I have had what I thought was chronic lower back pain.  I was a skeptic of Yoga at first mainly for the fact that I was lacking knowledge AND that it is all the "rage" right now.  A friend of mine convinced me to go and I was hooked!  I enjoy intense exercise and like to sweat.  I was challenged in positions and was sweaty after my first attempt at yoga.  Yoga as a practice of exercise is not the only part of the class I look forward too.  Renee as our instructor is solid in her yoga practice and inspires, informs and guides you into becoming "one" in your yoga practice.  She uses hands-on help as a means of gently pushing you to a new level.  Needless to say after doing 2 months of yoga on a 2x a week..my lower back pain is gone!

Erika- Vinyasa Flow & Astanga

“I hear people talk about how flexible they were when they were younger, but not in my case. I am more flexible now at 53 than I’ve ever been.”

Joan - Vinyasa Flow

“Several years ago I was diagnosed with Adult Scoliosis. Surgery was not an option. My only option was long term pain management. After many Dr. visits, hours of physical therapy and chiropractic adjustments, I was no closer to a long term pain management plan. After reading an article about Renee, I decided to try her class. I had never done any formal exercise before, so I was a little nervous. Renee with her kindness, knowledge of the body, and gentle encouragement quickly put me at ease. Yoga was easier to follow than my Physical Therapy. The changes I’ve experienced with yoga have been incredible. I have not visited a Chiropractor or Physical Therapist since I’ve started Yoga.  If you are looking for small classes with personal attention, a relaxed non-competitive environment, then Yoga with Renee is your best choice.”

Kathy - Chair Yoga

“Renee’s manner of teaching is to move from one position to another, with a flow that is gentle, using the abilities we have, never forcing  beyond what we are able to do, but always striving to go as far as we can.”

Jerry & Sue - Chair Yoga

“Every Saturday in class I get to the point where all I think about is breathing and balancing and being who I am. What a great feeling!”

Barb - Ashtanga & Vinyasa Flow

“I was told Yoga could improve my balance after a stroke, but it’s done much more. This is the best gift I’ve ever given to myself, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with physical challenges. It has also increased my strength, renewed confidence in myself, and given me knowledge that I have resources to fight any new physical challenge. Renee helps each of us adapt specific movements according to our personal physical needs, encourages us, and watches us to make sure we move safely. This is an excellent workout, it makes me feel good, and I always look forward to it.”

Jane - Chair Yoga

“I have been taking classes with Renee for the past 6 years. Renee is a dedicated  instructor who is able to provide a worthwhile experience, be it beginner or advanced to the practice. Her classes are fun and inspirational”

Mark - Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow & Gentle Yoga
