Becky has been providing a variety of educational experiences to children for over a decade. She received her Bachelors and Masters degree from he Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut where she double majored in elementary and special education. During college she was employed as a residential assistant, graduate assistant and spent her summers as an assistant director of a Girl Scouts camp. In her graduate year of college, Becky created her own internship based on the ideas of Project Adventure, where she designed and implemented an adventure-learning program to high-risk children from the inner city.
Once she graduated with honors from UConn she became a fourth grade teacher for the town of Wethersfield. During her time in Wethersfield, Becky created many before and after school programs including a salsa program, yoga program, recycling program, and newspaper club. She also went back to college to obtain her 6th year degree. After teaching fourth and fifth grade in Wethersfield for 7 years, Becky decided to resign from her position as an elementary school teacher to begin her own business called Boundless Movement LLC. She enjoys spending time with her son Tyson and pursuing her passion to work with children outside of the typical classroom setting to promote health and wellness.
Becky has been a licensed Zumba instructor for over two years and has been trained to teach kids’ Zumbatomic classes, adult Zumba classes and Zumba Gold classes. Becky is certified with her CPR and first aid for adults, children and babies. She is a member of IDEA and is fully insured.
Becky currently offers private tutoring to children in grades k-8 in all academic areas and instructs exercise classes in East Hampton and Portland Connecticut.
