Jill has been offering Women's Workshops since 2006. In the summer of 2007, Jill retired from being an elementary school teacher and took a few months to see where her interests led her. Always a fitness junkie, Jill was focusing mostly on yoga at the time. She was encouraged by friends to train to be a yoga instructor. Jill has completed her 200 hours training through YogaFit and is certified through Yoga Alliance. Jill continues her training as a yoga teacher. Jill Sand Wellness Consulting continues to grow by offering monthly women's circles, workshops and retreats.

Jill's mission is to provide you with wellness opportunities for your body, mind, and Spirit. Whether you take a class with her or visit online, she hopes to provide opportunities for you to learn and grow on your journey through life!

The yoga classes that you will practice with Jill is part of the Hatha yoga tradition, and is a vinyasa style class. Hatha means the balance of opposites (masculine and feminine, solar and lunar, energizing and relaxing). Vinyasa means to flow from one position to another. The format of our classes follow a typical sequence, which can be referred to as mountains and valleys. Mountain I is the warm-up phase, followed by Valley I, the salutations. Mountain II comes next, which is the work phase or the Hatha part of the class, followed by Valley II, the balance portion of class. We end our class with Mountain III, the deep stretching phase. From there we move into final relaxation.
