FITNESS & WELLNESS EXPERIENCE SUMMARY: I am an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified group fitness instructor in Portland, Oregon. I have been teaching fitness for seven years; working with both the military and civilian communities. I have experience training all ages (children to older adults) and all fitness levels (beginners to athletes). I currently teach boot camp, cardio and strength, muscle sculpt, mat Pilates, senior fitness, and indoor cycling classes. In addition, I also have over 13 years experience working in health program planning and research and direct patient wellness counseling; Specifically working in the areas of fitness and weight loss program design, general health education, tobacco cessation, physical activity research, and diabetes program planning. Currently, I am a fulltime Senior Wellness Consultant for a health plan organization, a part-time faculty member in a college physical education department and I teach 5 fitness classes per week at various fitness centers in my city.
