Fitness is a passion for me - in a wholistic way. I believe that combining good nutrition with exercise and a balanced life are essential to becoming who God created you to be. I was born in Africa to missionary parents, and lived there until I graduated high school. After graduation, I attended Joliet Junior College for one year before earning my BA in Bible/Theology from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.
After getting married in '96, I worked at an orthodontic office for 3 years before our first son was born in 2000. My husband & I had decided that I would stay home with our children, and so I entered the fitness world on a professional and part time basis. I have always been very athletic and active so this was an absolutely perfect fit for me.
Currently, I am teaching 5 classes a week - Power in Motion, Pilates, Zumba (2x), & Aqua. We have 3 children who are very involved in soccer. This keeps me able to keep up with them without overdoing my time. In the future, I would love to get my personal training certification.
I love the people that God has brought into my life through group exercise, and there is little more satisfying than my members telling me that they know that I care about who they are. I am passionate about seeing people grow more and more healthy and be able to do the things that they want to do on a daily basis.
