Linette Dofflemyer

My name is Linette Molina Dofflemyer.  I am a full time Spanish teacher  and single Mom to a 9 year old little girl. I work part time as a Zumba Basic One Instructor. I am a fluent Spanish speaker. I received  a BA in Spanish and a Masters in Secondary Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.  I am a State of Virginia Licensed Spanish Teacher .  I am certified in  Zumba Basic One  and have been teaching at Golds Gym in Charlottesville Va since March 2011.  I  received my  AFAA certification in August 2011.  In the early 90's I taught water  aerobics at the YMCA in my area.

I started taking Zumba classes in the fall of 2010. At the time  I had been teaching Spanish for over 15 years and had never learned how to dance even one latin dance. I had also recently gone through an ugly divorce. I was searching for ways to renew myself and I found ZUMBA. I have always loved to dance and loved latin music/hip hop. When I heard about ZUMBA I thought, "What a great way to learn the latin dances in order to inspire my students." However it was ZUMBA that inspired me. ZUMBA became part of the healing process after the divorce. ZUMBA has given me hope.....I can smile and laugh again.   I look forward to other ZUMBA opportunities. Thank you ZUMBA.
