I am a Graduate of NPTI, course studies included; strength training, fitness testing, aerobic endurance training, flexibility and balance, plyometrics, program design, special populations, injury recovery and nutrition. I'm currently studying to take NASM's Corrective Exercise Specialist test to become a certified CES. I really excited about it too! There are so many people with muscular imbalances.

Ever since I was young I have understood the importance of being active and how certain things you eat effect how your body performs. I have been involved in a lot of different sports: Track, Martial Arts, Football, Tennis and a few others. I even flew out to California recently to compete in American Ninja Warrior!

I decided that I wanted to become a personal trainer to help others not only understand the importance of eating the right foods, but to also help them achieve a level of fitness that would allow them to participate in any activity they desired. Even if it's just playing catch with their children. I have talked to people that have told me that they want to be able to get down on the floor and play with their toddler without having to worry about getting back up.

I really enjoy educating clients and watching them transform mentally as well as physically. I like building a relationship with them. I like knowing that I made a difference in their life, that I gave them the tools they needed to continue to grow on their own. I believe that a good trainer will eventually train him/herself out of a job. My clients look at me funny when I tell them that is my goal.

I primarily do "in home" training or I will train the client at their gym. I prefer doing that to working at a facility.  The reason being is that I feel more connected with the client. It gives both of us that true feeling of one on one. If I can motivate a client to work out at home, then getting to work out at a gym is a piece of cake!
