Krissie Penney graduated from ICT Northumberland College, with a Massage Therapy Diploma in 2006. Immidatly after returning to her home town of Yarmouth, NS she started practicing in a local Laser Clinic, After only a year the Clinic had gone out of business. Without hesitation she rented out a room and started her own private practice.
A year after Krissie took on another part time course to expand her skills. The course was held in Prince Edward Island. Footsteps School of Reflexology. So, with her free time she completed the hours and class time, maintaining her private practice. In 2009 Krissie graduated once again with a certificate in Reflexology, expanding her skills and the amount of conditions that she was able to treat.
In 2010 Krissie Applied and was accepted into the 200 hour Yoga Instructor course offered in Halifax, NS. Again she embarked on a 9 month educational course, giving up her free time to learn to teach Yoga to others. She had been very passionate in her yoga practice for the past 8 years and felt yoga could help and give the power to self heal her many clients. In May of 2011 Krissie graduated from Breathing Spaces Yoga Studios with yet another certificate.
While in school for Yoga and maintaining her private practice, Krissie managed to open up a Wellness Clinic in her home town. The Lila Centre officially opened in May of 2011. Starting with herself and one other yoga instructor, the centre grew very quickly and is now supporting 11 persons. The Centre offers daily classes including yoga, belly dancing, zoomba, plyometrics, and core strengthening classes. Along with Registered Massage therapy, Eastern Style Accupunture and Reflexology.
Krissie strongly believes in the natural healing process and daily uses her education and 6 years of experience to help others and herself heal inside and out. A high achiever for a young entrapanor, only being 28 years old and running a sucessful buisness and owning her own house.
In May of 2011, Krissie will be jumping back into the education system to expand her yoga practice to pregnant women.
