Jodi Simpson

I was always an active person.  I played sports my whole life, even had full scholarships for basketball to college.  I always had an interest in fitness.  I held the record at my high school for a very long time (may stil have it..not sure) for the lowest percentage of body fat.  My "study" periods in high school I played street hockey with the boys.  When I was 15 years old, I got my first gym membership and haven't looked back.

I started teaching by chance when the owners of a karate studio where I was attending kickboxing and bag classes were leaving on vacation and they needed someone to cover their classes.  They trained me to teach and I picked it up rather quickly.  I also danced for many years so I completely understood the music count.

I continued to teach until I had problems getting pregnant.  At which point I stopped teaching but continued to exercise.  I started teaching about 5 1/2 years ago again.  I now have 4 beautiful girls under 8!!!

I have lots of energy!  I love to tell stories in my class to make people smile.  My classes are considered "fun and hard'.  People tell me I'm crazy and I tell them that crazy loves crazy!!  We have a lot of fun.  I truly believe that if you make exercise fun for people, they come back.  They don't want to suffer through a workout.  I'm enthusiastic in my classes - and most of my clients are as well.  I play good music that people like, I make my workouts challenging to the most fit people in the class but also make them manageable for the people just starting so that they feel successful too!

Last year I decided to start personal training.  I love it!  My knowledge coupled with the ability to teach in groups makes my clients workouts very varied and unique.  I have a great success story too!
