Donna was first introduced to yoga over fifteen years ago & has been hooked ever since. While working in NYC as an event planner for one of the top event companies, Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, she found that yoga provided her with the balance & calm required to stage events such as Broadway openings, for thousands of guests. “There are hundreds of details that must be executed with perfection for events of this caliber & scope. Practicing yoga enhanced my focus & ability to stay above the frenzy.”
After moving from the hustle bustle of NYC to Connecticut with her husband, Bruce Bassock, they decided to change their lifestyle and offer up yoga to the community by opening Elements Yoga & Wellness Center. This decision has been rewarding on many levels and for seven years in a row Elements Yoga has garnered the “Best Yoga Studio“ in CT award. In addition, Donna was honored to be a recipient of the Fairfield County 40 Under 40 awards. Forty business professionals older than 21 & younger than 40 years old, who have achieved distinction as leaders in their field were selected. This award was received in part because Elements Yoga supports a number of non-profit organizations. One of those organizations is Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care where Donna was selected to co-chair & plan Yogathons, which benefited the organization.
Donna is an Anusara-inspired instructor who thrives on change and brings something new and different to each and every class she teaches. Donna is direct and clear in her approach and encourages her students to go at their own pace. This provides a safe and comfortable environment for her students to explore and discover their own potential.
