Kim Raubenheimer

As a mom, a fitness enthusiast, a certified nutrition & fitness coach and instructor, Kim integrates her diverse background to create an all-encompassing approach to fitness and nutrition.  Kim's mission is to help educate children and adults about the importance of physical activity and healthy nutrition for life, not just a quick fix for a day.   Healthy living is not just about being active, but also how you move your body, what you put in and on your body, the quality of your sleep, and your stress management.

Kim learned the hard way learning about what was healthy for her body in her 20's.  Now in her 50's, she has lots of knowledge to share.  "In my early 20's, I hit a very low point with my health, I kept losing weight, my hair was falling out and cuts were not healing, I knew something had to change.  I was intentionally working out crazy and not providing my body with the nutrients and fuel it needed for my daily activities and especially my workouts.  Instead of strengthening my body, I was destroying it.  I was then determined to learn all I could about nutrition and fitness.  I also wanted to share this knowledge and help others."

She has numerous nutrition and fitness certifications.  Kickboxing, Diastasis Recti Rehab, Outdoor Bootcamp, Indoor cycling, Kids Fitness and many more.

She knows the importance of healthy nutrition and fitness.  Kim taught cycling and muscle conditioning while exercising throughout both pregnancies.  Her 2nd son was born the day after she taught an hour long cycling class (on the bike). She knows about taking on challenges and has run the Boston Marathon (3 times, 2 times for Team in Training) and the New York marathon.   She will try any fitness discipline at least once!  She is currently training for the Tough Mudder in June 2019.

A working mom of 2 busy boys, juggling 3 professions, Kim understands the challenges families face when trying to stay in shape, eat healthily, prepare quick healthy meals and achieve fitness goals.  Kim practices what she preaches.  She feels it is important to have her kids have healthy role models.  Children will imitate your behavior.

Kim has been teaching group fitness classes for over a decade at various health clubs in the Boston, Cambridge and Metro-West area.  Kim mixes her own music and creates play-lists for all her fitness classes.  She is consistently expanding her knowledge base of nutrition and fitness by taking continuing education courses, workshops, and seminars.

Kim also healed her own diastasis (recognized after baby #2) through a custom exercise program.  She sees clients privately for Diastasis Recti if needed, as well teaches workshops.

Kim partnered with Becca Pizzi (1st U.S. woman to run and win the World Marathon Challenge 2016 and then won again overall in 2018!).  They formed the Belmont Youth Running Club in 2015.  The club promotes fitness and all levels of ability are welcome. Kim and Becca also trained 43 kids for 6 weeks for the NE Kids Triathlon that was held in July 2018 at MIT.  And will do the same in 2019.

When Kim is not talking about nutrition, teaching fitness classes, or training for a new fitness event, she is having fun with her husband and two young boys.  You might find her doing something outside, cooking a new recipe, camping, biking, hiking, or outside digging for worms with her busy boys.
