I have always been very adventurous and excited about fitness, travel and meeting new people. A lifelong martial arts enthusiast, I hold 1st Dan in the Korean art of Tae Kwon Do and I have explored various styles of Karate, Kung Fu, Chun Kuk Do and Jui Jitsu. I am also a YOGA convert. At first I resisted, I must admit. "YOGA isn't a workout, it's stretching and relaxation!" Years ago, I quickly realized my ignorance after embarassing my lovely wife at a YOGA class when I gassed out before the warm-up was over! (Some lessons are learned the hard way, aren't they?) I am amazed by the therapeutic qualities of YOGA and the core conditioning and mobility that it offers are nearly unmatched!
I am a proud Co-founder of MFR FireFit, an evolution of the CrossFit model created for the members of the Medford Fire Department to enhance overall health, strength, agility, accuracy and speed while reducing injury and recovery time through functional training and nutritional coaching.
I am able to supervise a gym as a personal trainer, as well as lead groups in CrossFit, Plyometrics/Aerobics, Cardio kickbox, Water aerobics, Mobility, yoga & stretch, Core stability & strength, and Functional fitness.
