Dawn Serbanic

I am a 33 year old native of Los Angeles, California. I have lived in Charlotte for the past 8 1/2 years. I moved to Charlotte to help my fiance (at the time) build and open his gym. Fitness has been my passion since I was 16 years of age, however, I was always athletic starting with ice skating lessons in the third grade. Growing up in sunny California I was always outdoors biking, skating or boogy boarding at the beach. Hence my desire to work in a tropical and warm environment. I have been certified through NASM for 6 years and the YMCA for the past 4 years. I am a member of IDEA and travel at least once or twice a year to their fitness conventions. I have volunteered as an assistant at a few IDEA events in Florida and San Diego, California which I thoroughly enjoyed. In applying to your program I hope to work with a variety of individuals in a variety of settings to gain new experiences and share what I've learned in my career.
