Norm Stalica, Lead trainer and owner of 20/20 Fitness:
I came to personal training after my life took me from high school and college sports star to overweight traveling salesman. I woke up one day with an injured back, wearing a clothing size I barely recognized, and realized it was time for a change.
I have always been a natural athlete. I grew up outside of Buffalo, New York, where I ran track and was the quarterback of my high school and college football teams. I went into medical engineering after my collegiate career. Working as a medical field engineer for the next twenty years, which required long hours and travel, I found that my physical body no longer matched the picture that I had of myself.
I knew it was time for a change.
When I became interested in personal training as a career, I pursued the most prestigious and challenging training program available: the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certification. As a NASM-certified trainer I know how to design goal-specific programs for optimal results, accurately assess areas of strength and needed improvement in my clients, and develop and modify exercises for everyone who trains with me. I believe that exercise should be fun, rewarding, and enhance every aspect of your life.
