Melissa Monte

My passion and love is Zumba. As a result, I have been teaching Zumba since February 2010.  My full time career is teaching high school business and technology; my part time career is teaching Zumba. 

I have not been a lifetime fitness guru, actually I only became serious about getting/staying in shape when I turned 40. I started working out regularly and fell upon a Zumba class--it was love at first sight. I was so inspired, I decided I wanted to teach it. I got licensed, and have been on the move ever since. I grew my class load from one class (at one fitness center) into, currently, six classes (at four different locations--gyms, resorts, and a school). 

During summer 2011, I attended the Zumba Instructor Convention and had a mind-blowing fitness experience. I met Zumba instructors from around the world, and had an amazing time.  They say that we are most successful doing the things we love--I love teaching, I love Zumba--I believe I am making a difference in my students lives and all of these factors equal my success!
