I was born in California and raised in Arizona with floor to ceiling mirrors in my living room, so what did I do, I danced. Not liking sports growing up all I wanted to do was dance, any and all types, ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, hip hop and belly dancing, if there was a class I was there. I started teaching dance at age 15 and continued for 10 years, then married a wonderful man and had 2 beautiful children and couldn't get back in shape. At this point I was 100 pounds overweight. I decided to get job at a gym in the child care room to help motivate me to workout as well as get a free membership and be able to bring my kids to work with me. The gym became my second family. I was taking fitness classes 5-6 days a week & working with a personal trainer 2 days a week, as well as changed my diet. After a few months I was asked to become an instructor and started teaching weight lifting, low cardio, flow, kids yoga and Silver & Fit classes. I love what I did but I was missing dance. In 2008 I stumbled upon Zumba® when subbing a class and it was love at first step. Within the month I had my Zumba® certification and was signed up to get my Zumba Gold® certification within the next few months. I love to teach and to help people be healthy & enjoy fitness.
