Intention and Experience

I love leading classes that are designed for everybody and Every Body, as well as making practice fun and light.  Allowing students to have an authentic, unique, and non-judgmental space to practice is the core of my teaching.

Dedication and Certification

I began my personal practice with Yoga in 2002, and after years of personal practice, I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate (200~RYT through Yoga Alliance) from LifePower Yoga as directed by Jonny Kest in 2011.

Offerings

From my personal practice, training, and certifications I am able to deliver:

  • Power Vinyasa Flow~an energetic, powerful vinyasa flow with inspirational and motivating language, upbeat music, and hands-on adjustments.
  • Slow Flow Vinyasa~a grounding, intentional practice that invites students to practice at a slower, more intentional pace,
  • Yin Yoga~a quiet, grounding practice working connective tissue, ligaments and bones, lengthening and working deep stretching, holding asana for 3-5 minutes.  Soft music, meditation and extended savasana.

Practice

Moving beyond asana, I am trained in and use various aspects of yoga theory in my practice and teaching. These include:

  • Different Pranayama techniques
  • Guided Meditation
  • Chakras and meanings 
  • Sanskrit asana names
  • Studied numerous ancient Yogic texts, including the Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and The Upanishads.
