Robin Willems

 

I have been a fitness instructor for over 11 years.  I have instructed boot camps, a variety of fitness and dance classes.  I am also a certified personal trainer. i have taught in gyms with large studios and one on one sessions at private residences. Helping people effectively achieve their fitness goals is my true passion in life.

I enjoy all aspects of fitness training and coaching but my true passion is yoga. I was privileged to train with a world-renowned yoga instructor, Hart Lazer, whom trained under Ramanand Patel.  My extensive yoga training has lead me to train young athletes to help them develop flexibility, prevent injury and help correct imbalances in the body, and to help activate dormant muscles. I have received an Astanga yoga alliance training certificate, Iyanger yoga certificate, and I will soon be training in my advanced yoga training,  I also have been a mind body training specialist through can fit pro.  

 

I feel extremly fortunate to be working in the fitness industry .  I’ve taught everything from arobics to dance, spin, yoga and personal training.  I love being a trainer because I  desire to help people achieve their goals.  It is so rewarding when a client learns to believe in themself and believe in what they are capable of.  They become motivated and excited because they see personal results!  that to me is an amazing expericence!  I also get to meet the most amazing people, each with their own journey and goals to achieve.  Everyone has a story of where they’ve been in their life and hurdles they’ve faced or are going through.  I love to share my experience with others that no matter what you’ve been through you can overcome and become a stronger better person.  Throughout my teenage years I was never confident in the way I looked physically.  After suffering with an eating disorder for many years I finally learnt to accept myself for who I was.  I learnt that there is a balance in life.  Life doesn’t have to exist in extremes….I wanted to be healthy both mentally and physically, learning to live a healthy lifestyle where I am not obsessed about food or having the perfect body.

Life is full of obsiticals, I have 2 children and am a single mom, life isn’t always easy or perfect.  There are always things that I have to face, that we all have to face... the mind will either tell us we can or cannot succeed. If you want to succeed you will if you are willing and not afraid to push through your deepest fears nothing will stand in your way of success. To me, finess is the link to balance and happiness, both through mental and physical application.
