- Pamela Toto
Pamela Toto, PhD, OTR/L. Dr. Toto is an assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh where her research interest have focused on the impact of best practice physical activity on participation and function in older adults. While developing her career as an occupational therapist, Dr. Toto simultaneously maintained an active role as a group fitness instructor. Certified since 1992 by the American Council on Exercise, Dr. Toto has provided group exercise instruction to both adults and children in a variety of formats including general aerobics, strength training, step, pilates and dance fitness. Over the course of her group exercise career, she has been trained and certified in pilates, senior fitness, Zumba, step, and dance.
