I started dancing when I was in 4th grade and began sports shortly after.  Throughout High School and college I continued to play basketball and track at Southern Idaho and then, Western Oregon University. At 16, I had the chance to teach to large groups of people (youth) at basketball trainning camps.  While finishing my degree in Helath and Communications, I got a job as a Fit Instructor and Health professional at a local fitness club.  It was there, at the age of 21 I got my first expierence teaching classes. Honestly I wasn't nervous  because I love being around people and had experience in front of large groups.   I started with a basic boot camp at 6 am and was thrilled when my class had the 2nd highest percentage of people for any time slot! I was really excited!.  Shortly after I transferd to a larger, more competivite club where they really focused on classes and member retention. They wanted instructors to not only be "good" teachers but interactive, always learning, and continually undergoing evaluations.  It was a huge move for me and one that would prove to be well worth it.  I got certified in Zumba, and Group Power, and decided to start my own class called Club Dance which is a basic, very easy and extremly fun hip-hop dance class. Wanting to broaden my horizons I then got certified in Yoga, chair yoga, and Yin yoga. After teaching 3x a week and receiving my 200 hours I began training others in yoga and dance.   I love my job and it allows me to stay fit, get paid, and be a stay at home mom to my 3 beautiful sons.  I really couldn't ask for a better job, and I love what I do!!
