Paula Pliakas

Paula Pliakas originally from Cali, Colombia grew up in Massachusetts with Greek American parents.  She was adopted at the age of 2 and always loved movement, music, sports and travel.  An althlete all through Jr. high and high school Paula suffered a knee injury which left her with a reconstructed ACL and partial menicius removal.  An ex gym rat Paula discovered yoga and fell in love.  It wasn't long before she gave up office life and decided to teach yoga full time. She currently lives in New York City where she teaches as a full time yoga instructor since 2010. With her most recent 500 hr certification she teaches at various yoga studios, gyms, apartment buildings and even at a safe house for women who were involoved in trafficking.  She loves teaching classes as well as private lessons and has always wanted to find a way to combine her love for travel and her love for yoga into one nice neat package.  After living in New York 11 years she knows how necessary yoga is for people and loves her job more then anything!
