I have been studying Yoga for about 5 years and have taken classes with various instructors. I enjoy athletic styles of yoga such as ""Power Yoga"", ""Ashtanga"" yoga and ""Forrest Yoga"" (in the style of Anna Forrest). My teaching style reflects this, and I would say my classes are closest to the ""Power Yoga"" format, incorporating Sun Salutaions, as well as poses to develop strength, flexability and balance. I teach part-time in the evenings, since I have a full-time job as a computer consultant. I am a certified Yoga instructor who has taught weekly classes at a local Camp Hill gym. I also would subsititute teach at the gym's Harrisburg branch when needed. I have worked with students at the beginner through intermediate levels. I am currently involved in helping the Association in my development offer classes in their clubhouse for the residents of the Townhouse development where I live. When vacationing on Cape Cod I enjoy doing yoga outside on the beach. I've brought this love of ""outdoor yoga practice"" home this summer and have started an informal group of intermediate level yoga practitioners who meet on Wednesday evenings at a local lake where we finish our practice shortly after sunset. Weather permitting, and if the resort would be interested, I would love to hold at least some of my yoga classes on the beach ! In the late 1980's, before becoming involved with Yoga, I had been a professional Middle Eastern Dancer and had worked for both ""Jadaya's Studio"" and ""Karida the Belly Dancer"" in the Harrisburg PA area. I was also a founding member of the dance troupe ""Troupe Kismet"" which performed at charity events, arts festivals and nursing homes, also in the Harrisburg, PA area. (P.S. I know I need to get a full-body picture in my workout gear. I will update this later after my account is created)
