Stefani Harris

As a ballet and jazz dancer since I was able to walk, I grew up understanding the importance of being healthy and active.  At around the age of 16, I began taking step aerobics classes, and I knew that I had found an avenue to keep exercising fun - for myself and others!  I became certified to teach group fitness classes and have been sharing high-energy, calorie-burning, and FUN cardio and strength classes to a diverse group of individuals since 2002.

After all those years of hard-core workouts, I missed my days of being more flexible, rhythmically graceful, and pain-free (a big goal of mine, since I have suffered from lower back pain and tight hamstrings for years!).  I tried various yoga styles, but from classes being too slow or too repetitive, I didn’t think I would find my match - until I discovered Vinyasa yoga. Everything from the music to the flowing movements choreographed beautifully with the breath (and not to mention the workout!) makes Vinyasa the perfect complement to my goals and interests both personally and as an instructor.

As the name of my business states, I am always evolving.  I know the importance of continuing education and ensuring that all members of our diverse community have the opportunity to benefit from and access yoga.  Therefore, I plan to expand my yoga knowledge and teaching abilities beyond Vinyasa in the near future.

I am certified to teach group fitness classes through The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and I am currently completing my 200-hour yoga certification through One Yoga USA.  I have a BS in Sport Management from UT-Austin, and I have spent much of my career in the non-profit world as a fundraiser.  Ultimately, after too many years sitting behind a desk and simply doing what I love as a side-gig, I have realized my true calling in life is to do what I love as my full-time gig:  motivating, encouraging, and inspiring others to help them feel successful!  This is truly my #1 goal and how I choose to spend my time.

I look forward to sharing my love of movement with you, and I frequently remind myself and my students that "without risk, there is no reward - so just try it, or else you’ll never know!"
