While working on graduating college in 2009, I began my certification for NASM. Being in sports all of my life and weight training, basketball, and softball in high school I thought there would not be a better field to get involved in. I began working in the summer of 2009 at the Long Island City YMCA. Filled with enthusiasm and motivation, I fit perfectly in their environment. I was able to be myself and in cooperate all of my personality along with my creativity in each and every personal training session or fitness class I taught. I continue to strive in the business and work towards perfecting my skills as well as keeping updated with the newest and latest information/ equipment being used. Maintaining a strong rapport with the members of the gym, it has been unbelievable to see all the relationships a person can form in such a short period of time and I continue to assess the progression of each client or member until they are satisfied with themselves.

Along with working at the LIC YMCA, I pursued teaching, and in September I became a 4th grade special education teacher in Corona, New York. It has been insightful and intriguing to work with such a wide variety of people, ranging from all different ages and backgrounds. It is such a huge stress relief entering the gym after a long day of work but both jobs are extremely rewarding. It is great to see someone's life drastically change before your eyes just because you took the time out to care.
