I've practicing, studying and playing yoga for over ten years, exploring different styles, studios and concepts within yoga. Starting off in my teens with the Sivananda style, yoga became a liberation for my physical body mixed with some silliness and play. As I developed a professional career within the federal government of Canada, yoga took on a different role in my life: one of centring and relaxation. My practice moved away from Sivanada and more into a Yin-Yang style that allowed the body to move vigorously and then settle into a posture. The gentleness of the Yin allowed my body and mind to come to gather in a ballet of effort and allowance.
After embarking upon teacher training to gain a deeper knowledge of the philosophy and history of yoga, my own practice has evolved. My practice and teaching incorporate some of the original silliness, playfulness and wonder that inspired me to pursue yoga with the effort and allowance that a Yang practice and a gentle Yin practice can bring to coming back to our light.
It is a sincere pleasure to be a guide to those that come to play yoga.
