I have loved taking group fitness classes since I was 16 years old. My first love was step aerobics and high-low cardio formats.
Several years after graduating from university and into my career as an elementary teacher, I decided to take pole dancing classes since I was bored with the same old cardio classes that I had been taking for 10 years. As soon as I started pole dancing, I was hooked. I quickly incerased my skill level and strength and became an Aradia certified pole dancing instructor.
The next logical step came my way approximtely 4 years ago. I was given the opportunity to become a BCRPA certified group fitness instructor. I completed my certification with a practicum teachinig high-low cardio classes in January of 2009. SInce getting certified I have taught high-low classes, indoor cycling, bootcamps and became a R.I.P.PE.D. instructor in April 2011. I have taken workshops on kettlebell, TRX, indoor cycling, advanced step aerobics, core/abs, etc. I have made an attempt to remain current and in healthy form in order to be a good role model for my participants.
In the recent year I have focused mostly on R.I.P.P.E.D. and teaching indoor cycling. Currently I am teaching R.I.P.P.E.D. classes 3 times a week in a private location.
