Tara Schellenberg

Tara has always had a passionate interest in health and wellness. It was through her very first instructor experience that she fell in love with fitness as a means for improved self-esteem, confidence and mental/emotional well-being.

Tara entered the fitness industry as a Dance-Fitness Instructor in the Fraser Valley area. Her dedication to supporting others to step out of their comfort zone resulted in her clients not only improving strength, flexibility, endurance; but also, a strong sense of self worth and overall balance in life through focus on the mind/body connection.

Dedicated to continuing education and healthy living, Tara promises to bring her clients current and relevant knowledge to meet their individual health and wellness needs.

Most recently, Tara has completed an advanced 200 hour yoga teacher certification, and currently teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin Yoga in Langley, Surrey and Cloverdale. "I try to keep my yoga classes light hearted and fun so anyone from the beginner to the advanced yogi can feel comfortable and supported even through more challenging postures where we work on releasing the 'issues in our tissues'. "My intention is to offer you a safe, comfortable environment to practice yoga no matter what your experience; if that means that you have to 'fake it till you make it', then I'm happy to be your guide. My goal is to leave you feeling refreshed and revived with a few new tools to take into the rest of the day to maintain a calmer more relaxed state of being. If you let it, yoga can change your life."

BCRPA certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Leader, Tara can deliver the full spectrum of personal training options to keep you motivated while you progress towards your goals. With a strong desire to support and encourage others to live to their full potential in all aspects of day to day life, Tara believes that staying active will allow the best possible quality of life to all who embrace it as part of a balanced, healthy way of living.
