Alexander Gersch

I am a strong advocate for physical freedom, and often witness that with physical freedom comes freedom in life. Too often people are imprisioned by ideas, ideals and concepts which are not their own. My goal as a lifestyle specialist and life coach is to work with people to gain freedom in their body as well as their mind in order to be happy and enjoy their life to the fullest. Yes, having a personal trainer is nice and a sense of accomplishment is gained after a hardworkout, but once leaving the gym or studio, how do will they feel? These are questions I have looked deeply into in the past few years and I have found that simply exhausting someone through a rigorus workout is not enough. Our whole society is built on stress and exhaustion, pushing oneself to get ahead even at the cost of health, sanity and pyhsical freedom. How to overcome that? I went on a journey to India to study with a traditionalist and a master of both Traditional yoga and Kungfu to seek answers to my questions. At Shri Kali Ashram in Galgiabaga, India, I had time to study a traditional system based on relaxation and working on a whole different level of health and fitness. Regulating not only the muscles, but learning on how to get someone fit by utilizing their own hormone and endocrine systems. This is indeed yoga. Traditional approaches to the body see that by culturing stress in the body via rigorus exercise you only develop methods for compensation, ie. you do 20 chinups and your body responds to the muscle tears by rebuilding and reshaping in order to manage the stress more efficiently...etc. That cannot lead to mastery because everything will only be a compensation. My system of health and fitness I build, educate and expand on the potentials within everyone. Be it Yoga, Martial arts, functional movement training, body weight exercises..achieving physical freedom while maintaining a relaxed mind is somehting that seems to be common sense, but it is not practiced. I really enjoy seeing people smile while they get comfortable in their body, seeing their individuality express as they find comfort and freedom within their body. I have mastered the new-age techniques of fitness, sports..my peers call me "google fitness", however I find a combination of the science of today and the idealogy and perfection of the systems of the past traditional cultures can create short training time with longer happier lives. thank you
