I began teaching as a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer in 1987, along with lecturing on various wellness topics throughout Long Island.  I was drawn to pilates and yoga about 10 years ago, and received my 200 hour certification in 2008.  In December of 2014, I received my 500-hr level teacher training in yoga therapy.  My yoga learning experience is in traditional Hatha yoga including vinyasa flow, gentle and restorative yoga, yoga nida, thai massage level one, and use of breathe work (pranayama) to bring a sense of calmness, relaxation, rejuvenation, while adding strength and flexibility into one's practice.
